David Nosnik host of KVCcast™ welcomes David Schonthal Managing Director of the San Diego office of Fusion Ventures, an innovation advisory and investment firm focusing on growing businesses in the early stages of their development. Fusion accelerates client and portfolio company growth through the implementation of sound strategy and value-added partnerships. Prior to Fusion, David served as Director of Strategy and Venture Development for Tavistock Life Sciences, and Chief Operating Officer for Iapyx Medical, a San Diego based medical device company specializing in infection control technologies. David earned his MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and his B.A. in International Relations, magna cum laude, from Boston University. In addition to being Co-Founder and Director of the Kellogg Venture Community David is a member of the San Diego Zoo’s Innovation Council and serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for CONNECT, a proof-of-concept and venture mentoring organization based in Southern California.
